Jewelry Making Inspiration

This is a piece that is very dear to me. I call it "Suspened Beauty". I needed divine intervention that day.

I sat in my studio for hours, and the creative side of me just wasn't there. And then, it just came to me. The flame was on and out came my Suspended Beauty. The focal lamp work bead contains teal, blue and rust.

Jewelry Making Instructions

This wire bead necklace combined the use of wire wrapping techniques to pull the two large filigree findings together to tie down the focal lampwork lentil bead.

The brass chain is spaced with 10mm Swarvoski® bicone crystals and brass spacer bars.

At the bottom of the brass filigree finding, the brass charms and vintage beads were attached with brass jump rings.

The pendant measures approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) across and the entire length of the necklace is 18 inches (45.7 cm).

Beautiful Lampwork Bead!

Susan,

What a gorgeous lampwork bead you made! I am sure that it was a lot of work, but a labor of love.

I really like the color scheme of the bead which blends well with the vintage filigree finding.

This is a great bead and jewelry finding design idea that the rest of us can easily recreate using a purchased lampwork bead.

Your patience in waiting for your creative juices to flow again paid off.

Lovely work in creating this very eye pleasing bead necklace!
