Metal Clay Pendant Necklace Design

To make this metal clay pendant necklace I used Precious Metal clay, sterling silver wire and spacer beads, faceted agate beads and red agate.

First, I made the pendant myself. It is silver metal clay.

I made a mold with silicone and molded an antique button. Then, took a piece of silver clay and pushed it into the mold.

Next I pushed in the glass bead in the middle of the metal silver clay pendant.

Let this dry and then sand the edges smooth.

Next, add a line of syringe clay around the glass to make a bezel to hold in the bead.

Also, drill 2 holes for adding wire to attach the pendant to the necklace.

Fire the metal clay according to manufactures directions.

To put the necklace together, cut a small length of sterling silver wire and add facet striped agate and red agate. Make a wire wrapped loop on one side of the pendant.

Then, make a wrapped wire loop on the other end. Repeat this to the other side.

String beading wire and crimp onto loop.

Add gemstones red agate and facet agate, or others to fit our style. Repeat this to the other side.

Make the necklace the length you want, add the clasp.
