Jewelry Making Beads
I picked up my shell and the beach glass on our last vacation to Maui. I love it when I can use my "treasures" for something that I can enjoy in other ways.
Jewelry Making Techniques
First, I drilled a hole in the top of the sea glass. Then, I drilled three holes in the shell - one through the tip, one on the inside near the top and one to exit out the other end.
I used a 26 gauge wire to string beads through the body of the shell. It seemed to bend more easily for the shell beads that I strung up through the inside curve of the sea shell.
Next, I made a wire wrapped loop over the to of the sea glass, added two crystal beads to match, a flat fluted bead to hide the drill hole.
Then, I threaded the into a drilled hole on the end and out the other drilled hole on the bottom inside. I wound matching seed beads up the inside. Then carefully threaded the wire back out. I topped the wire unit off with another crystal bead and added a small wrapped loop to act as a pendant bail.
