If you love glass beads, check out this strawberry watermelon glass bead necklace design idea!
When I found the glass green square beads I knew I wanted to use them to make a jewelry 'something'. So, I bought them on a whim.
Since the summer is coming I decided to make a bright and cheery beaded necklace and earring combination. I used glass green square beads, lime color glass beads, and bright red beads.
When I was done the thing that came to mind was Strawberry Watermelon. Hence the name.
To make this necklace I used Tiger Wire along with crimp beads. It's an easy to make simple necklace, but I feel really stands out. It's a statement necklace!
I am still new to jewelry design and this was one of my first pieces using really bright colors. I am more used to using beads in shades of black and white, so it was hard at first to branch out and use such bright colors to make jewelry.
I used to create friendship bracelets and things of that nature as a child, but didn't have money to get the beads and wire needed.
Now that I have a full time job I am branching out and making more types of jewelry designs.
Beading seemed like the first step!
