Wire Gauge Substitutions

Two of Marlize's wire jewelry tutorials call for the use of an odd size gauge of wire - 15 and 17 gauges. However, in the USA, you may find that even gauge wire is more readily available.

So, for example, when the Wire Fan Necklace tutorial calls for 15 gauge, you can use 16 gauge wire instead (I made this substitution when I made my wire fan necklace).

And, when the Red Coral S-Link Necklace tutorial calls for 17 gauge, you can use 18 gauge wire instead.

Wire Jewelry Making Suppliers

The wire jewelry tutorial lists a wire jewelry supplier in Australia. You can also find jewelry wire available from most bead suppliers such as these online bead stores.

Wire Jewelry Projects

With five wire jewelry making projects, this wire jewelry tutorial teaches us a lot - scrolls, coiling wire, oxidizing jewelry and more - about wire jewelry making.

You can easily complete any of the wire jewelry tutorials in an afternoon.

Beginner jewelry makers will have attained a great level of competence at making wire jewelry when they're done.

More experienced jewelry makers will find the wire and bead jewelry designs refreshing.
