Amethyst Bead Necklace Design Idea - Purple Rain

Amethyst beads are plentiful and beautiful. Check out this fresh amethyst bead necklace design idea as inspiration for your next bead jewelry design.

Jewelry Making Inspiration

The design of Purple Rain was inspired by the large drops of rain from a heavy rain storm. The small tips of the daisy spacers are the effects of the raindrops as the sun hits them when it comes out after the storm.

Jewelry Making Instructions

Using two pieces of 28 inch (71.1 cm) Beadalon® beading wire, I attached both pieces at one end to a clam shell cap.

Together, I inserted both pieces through an amethyst nugget bead and a daisy spacer bead.

Then I separated the string and on each piece added a tube spacer bead, an amethyst Swavorski® crystal and another tube spacer bead.

I then repeated the process until I reached my desired length of a 24 inch (61 cm) necklace.

The bracelet was made in the same way.
