Antique Elegance Glass Pearl and Button Beaded Necklace
My inspiration for this glass pearl and button beaded necklace jewelry design was a large container of gorgeous pink antique buttons that I bought at a garage sale. I call it 'Antique Elegance'.
Jewelry Making Inspiration
I had a whole box of various colors, but the pink just stood out, so I played around with them for a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with them, but never could. Then, I saw another asymmetrical design in a magazine using buttons and I was certain.
Jewelry Making Supplies
For this button, chain and bead necklace I used: thirteen (13) pink antique buttons, two white antique buttons, a upcycled leaf charm off of an old necklace and an upcycled gold tone chain off an old chain belt that I got at a yard sale.
I also used 6mm and 8mm gold glass pearls, 6mm and 8mm white glass pearls and a lobster clasp.
The whole necklace cost me somewhere between $3 - $4 to make! It is quite stunning and actually pretty easy to make too.
To put it together I used basic wire work to hold the buttons together and basic bead stringing jewelry making techniques for the rest. I used crimp beads to hold it all together.
