Red Glass Bead Necklace and Bracelet

A red glass bead jewelry set evokes many things. The inspiration for this bead necklace and bracelet set is romance, sophistication and practicality.

Jewelry Making Inspirations

A lot of women are sucker for romance and a lot would like to look like a million dollars when they go out on a date with the man their heart beats for. Yes! A lot of women dream of the same things, ie. the perfect date!

So how do you go about getting the best jewelry for your fabulous cocktail dress? Aside from being suckers for romance we are very PRACTICAL too! (Lucky men aren't they?!).

So, here's practical jewelry which you can actually make and wear for that romantic date you've been dying to go on.

Jewelry Making Supplies

The materials I used are faceted red glass beads, (they actually looked like precious rubies), assorted colors of carved rose beads, deep brown wood seed beads and copper seed beads. I also used brass jump rings and clasps to complete the romantic look.

Jewelry Making Instructions - Bead Necklace

For the necklace, I used simple stringing techniques. I cut a beading wire and folded it in two which gave me a two stranded wire. I strung my beads: a few roses first and then glass beads alternated by the rose beads with wood beads in between the bigger beads.

I added toggle clasps on both ends of the necklace. I secured and ended it by crimping both ends just right under each clasp.

Jewelry Making Instructions - Bead Bracelet

For the bracelet, I also used two strands of beading wire. I strung on two wires on both the glass beads and rose beads, but I used both wires separately for the wood seed beads, which are in between rose beads.

For the clasps, I used a lobster claw on one end and made a loop on the other end. I strung in copper seed beads into the loop to compliment the overall look of romance.

This is a very easy project that you will hardly find any difficulty doing this.

My Jewelry Making Start

I started making jewelry two years ago. I created few simple designs because I had a local website and I had to put something in it.

It was never my plan to sell jewelry, but things just happened and I am happy how they are turning out. I love beading! This is my life now!
