Turquoise and Coral Polymer Clay Necklace

Take a look at this turquoise and coral polymer clay necklace jewelry design to see what you can make with polymer clay and beads.

I love designing jewelry and decided that I would start to make my own pendants and beads.

After taking a class with Christie Freisen, I came home and made this pendant with real turquoise and polymer clay that I hand-mixed to this coral color.

I strung the polymer with turquoise rounds and sterling spacer beads.

I am most proud of this necklace!

Great Color Combination!
by: Wanda

Sandi,

Thanks for entering the May 2011 Beaded Jewelry Making Contest.

Your turquoise and coral polymer clay necklace is a great example of the use of color in a jewelry design.

Red and blue are primary colors. The red polymer clay compliments the blue turquoise beautifully, both colors pop.

This is a great jewelry design idea!

Visitors can consult this digital download back issue of Step by Step Jewelry: Polymer, Ceramic, and Metal Clays that teaches you the basics of working with different types of clay for making jewelry.

Again, thanks for entering the contest. The May 2011 Beaded Jewelry Making Contest Winning Entry is How to Make Jewelry From Pre Made Jewelry by Kirstin Kestner.
